Here is a birthday card I CASED from Aly Schilling. Aly is an amazing demo and she had done a card very similar to this one.  Her card had a bit more glitter and was background stamped, but due to some time constraints,  I chose to eliminate those steps.

Sale-a-Bration Samples

Sale-a-Bration is only around for the next couple of weeks. This is such a great way to earn FREE product.  The stamp sets are great as is the Designer Series Paper and punch.  Over the next week or so, I will be sharing with you projects made using the Sale-a-Bration sets.  Here is the first one:

Easter Invites

Each year I host Easter.  Like any other thing I host, I send out invitations.  I love to make them and often spend a lot of time, sometimes too much time agonizing over what to do.  LOL.  This past weekend I was browsing the net aqnd came across a really cute card using the new stamp Chocolate Bunny.  If you stamp this bunny on Close to Cocoa Paper with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and emboss it, it looks like a real chocolate bunny!!!!   I decided to use this card as the basis for my invite. 

This is an Easel Card.  Love making these cards.  So simple, but so different. 

Recipe

Stamp sets- Chocolate Bunny, A Good Egg, Hugs and Wishes

Paper- Sahars Sand, Very Vanilla, Bella Bleu DSP, Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink

Inks- Chocolate Chip, Close to Navy

Tools- Big Shot, Wide Oval Punch, SNIPS, Stampin' Sponges, Boho Blossom Punch, Top Note Die, Distress Tool

Accessories- 1/4 inch Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, 1/4 inch Grosgrain Certainly Celery Ribbon

Sale-a-Bration Sample

Hi everyone!

Hope you enjoyed the weekend and are all ready to start a brand new week!  As you know, Sale-a-Bration is going on right now in the SU world and people are picking up these free products like crazy.  Remember- purchase $50.00 and receive FREE stuff.  Who doesn't love FREE stuff?  There are some really neat products you can pick from the Sale-a-Bration catalog, along with a list of sets from the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog.  Over the course of the next couple of weeks, a lot of my posts will be focusing on these great sets and hopefully you will see just how versatile these sets truly are. 

The first card focuses in on the set Happy Moments. 

As you can see, the set comes in both French and English.  Above is the French version.  The words state Happy Birthday, thank you and for you. Below is the card I made using this set.

Tools- Big Shot, Texture Plates, Scallop Trim Punch, Pennant Die Cut (for Pumpkin Pie Scallop), 1 3/4 circle punch, blender pens 

Don't you love the textured plate?  It gives  a great look to the card.

Something Sweet Baby Card

A few weeks ago friends of ours had a baby boy.  I knew the minute I saw the stamp set Something Sweet, I would use that to make up a baby card.  I found an adorable card on Splitcoast and decided to CASE it.  Here is my creation...

 
This set was made to use in conjuction with the Sweet Treat Cups. However, as you can see from my sample above, one does not need the cups to use this set.

Stamp sets- Something Sweet and Whimsical Words (SAB set)

Paper- Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, Sweet Pea DSP, Very Vanilla, So Saffron

Inks- Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip

Tools- Big Shot, Pennant Die (for the scallop circle), 1 3/4 circle punch, Circle Plus Cutter, New Scallop Edge Punch 

Accessories- 1/4' chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, 1 1/4 inch Bashful Blue double stitched ribbon

What to do with the Ornament Punch now that Christmas is over?

Like many of you, I purchased the ornament punch from the holiday mini.  Now that Christmas is over, I have been looking for other ways to use this punch.  So far I have seen  two different ways.  One I will show you today and the other, I will share once my scrapper's club meets this week.  I don't want to spoil their surprise. :) 

I was at a demo meeting a week or so ago and we made this adorable card using the ornament punch. Take a look.

Inks- Close to Cocoa

Accessories- Whisper White 1/4'" grosgrain ribbon

Tools- Ornament Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Scallop Circle Punch (cut to make fins) 1/2  inch circle punch and crop-a-file

Cute fish :)  Can you think of another way to use this punch?  Think about it and after I post my second project next week using this punch, I will have a little contest to see who can come up with some ideas.

Totally Tess

Have you seen Tess?  Tess is a new addition to the SU family.  There is an adorable stamp set in the Occasions Mini called Totally Tess. She is a fellow stamper, but can be used for a variety of other events.  I saw this card at my upline Barbara's house and wanted to share.

Sharing some Swaps

As I mentioned a few posts back I have been involved in a few swaps.  I wanted to share with you a couple of cards from this swap. 

Isn't this beautiful?  The set is Vintage Vogue and it is in the Occasions Mini.  To be honest, the set did no appeal to me UNTIL, I saw all these beautiful samples being made.  It is a definite must have .  In fact, if you sign up for my Spring Fling Event on April 17th you will receive this set in your welcome bag.  Stay tuned for more details this week.

Fox & Friends makes a great baby card

SU has started a new forum for demonstrators called Stampin' Connection.  It is a great place for demonstrators to post samples, share business ideas, etc.  Of course, there are swaps :) I signed up for one and made this cute card.

Isn't it sweet?  You could easily change out the colors and have a baby girl card too.  Fox & Friends screams kids to me. It makes great baby cards and scrapbook pages.  However, I have seen plenty of samples using this set that is NOT baby or child related.  I am going to challenge myself to come up with a few and will post them here soon.  In the meantime, here is the recipe for this card.

A Happy Heart

A Happy Heart is one of those sets that did not appeal to me until I saw project after project being made with it.  I decided to invest in the set and I am so glad I did.  I have been making some cute projects with this set and think I will be incorporating it in  some scrapbook layouts as well.  I am in a monthly swap and this month's theme is Valentine's Day.  Here is the card I made using this adorable set.
