Scrappin Saturday & Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween everyone :)

In honor of today's holiday, I wanted to share with you my Halloween pages we did at my last scrapper's club.  These are some of my favorite pages.

Aren't  these great!  These pages were inspired by Gretchen Barron a fellow demo from Illinois.  She has some great tutorials making these cute little guys. 

I also used letters from a Big Shot die and the set Pumpkin Patch.   You too can make great layouts like this.  Check out my scrapper's club.  You will not be disappointed :)

3-D Friday

Hi everyone!

Welcome to 3-D Friday. Today's project is one of the centerpieces we had at our Fall Fest event.  My fellow committee member Tiz, made these adorable centerpieces using mini trifle bowls from the Christmas Tree Shop.  Take a peek.

These are very easy to make and the idea was taken directly from the catalog.  Tiz took her Fall Harvest Wheel and wheeled it across Whisper White paper.  She then watercolored in the images using various colors.  She mounted the stamp paper onto Chocolate Chip paper.  Then using her Movers and Shakers die and her Scallop Square punch she made a cute tag.  This would make a wonderful centerpiece for the holidays.  She also made some of them using a winter theme.  I will share that with you on a another day :)

Tutorial Thursday

It has been a while since I have provided you wiht a tutorial.  This one was taken from Splitcoast,  Makes a great gift.  I plan on making one this week and I will be sure to post it.

Photo Wallet

This is a great way to show off tons of pictures in a cute package.

Supplies

• Paper Cutter with Scoring Blade
  
• Corner Rounder
  
• Scallop Punch (optional)
  
• Stamps
  
• Ribbon of Choice
  
• Ink
  
• Sticky Strip™ adhesive
  
• Adhesive
  
• Bone Folder
  
• Paper Piercing tool, template, and piercing pad
  
• One 4 ¼" X 12" piece of cardstock for Wallet (here Always Artichoke)
  
• Three 3" X 8" pieces of cardstock for the Photo/Journal Covers (here Purely Pomegranate and Certainly Celery)
  
• Four 2 ¾" X 3 ¾" pieces of neutral cardstock for 3 (optional) Journaling Inserts and 1 Photo Cover Layer
  
• One 1 & 1/8" X 8 ½" strip of cardstock for the Belt layer (here Certainly Celery)
  
• One 1 & 5/8" X 8 ½" strip of cardstock for the Belt (here Purely Pomegranate)

Step-by-Step

1. Step 1

   Score wallet piece at 3 ¼" and 6 5/8".

3. Step 2

   Turn wallet piece to opposite end and score at 1 5/8" and 1 7/8".

5. Step 3

   Use corner rounder to round all four corners of wallet.

6. Step 4

   Stamp both sides of the wallet.

7. Step 5

   Score each of the photo cover pieces at 4".

   

8. Step 6

   Use corner rounder punch on all corners of the photo cover pieces.
   

   

9. Step 7

   Stamp each of the photo covers, inside and out. One of these will include a neutral layer on the outside. Embellish each cover as desired.
   

10. Step 8

    Use corner rounder punch to round one end of each of the neutral cardstock pieces. One end will have two square corners, while the other end will have two rounded corners.

    

11. Step 9

    Use one of the neutral pieces as the journaling area of each photo cover. Stamp to coordinate with each respective cover.
    

12. Step 10

    Adhere to the inside top flap of each photo cover.
    

13. Step 11

    The fourth neutral piece is used as the front layer on one of the photo covers. Stamp and embellish as desired, then adhere to the front of one photo cover.

    

14. Step 12

    Adhere each finished photo cover to the inside of the wallet, alternating the direction of the opening edges, i.e. open right, open left, open right side.

    

15. Step 13

    Score both belt pieces at 1 ¾", 2", and 5 ½". Stamp and embellish each as desired, then adhere the two belt layers together. Sharpen the scores with a Bone Folder.

    

16. Step 14

    Place the belt around the folded wallet and determine the best fit to allow the belt to easily slip onto the folded wallet, yet keep it closed. Use Sticky Strip™ to adhere the shorter end of the belt layers on top of the longer end.

    

17. Step 15

    Use a punched or cut layer of cardstock on which to build or stamp the main focal point for the belt & wallet. Use Sticky Strip to adhere to the front of the belt.

Recipe

Stamp set- Pumpkin Patch

Paper- Cast-a-Spell DSP, Perfect Plum, Basic Black, Old Olive and Whisper White

Tools- My Digital Studio, Modern Label Punch

Ink- Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Old Olive

Accessories- Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon and Perfect Plum Brads.

Did you notice what one of the tools was that I used?  My Digital Studio!  I have all these supplies at home, but wanted to show you how quick and easy it is to make this card if you did not have the tools.  This program is GREAT!

Its a Build-a-Bear day

Hi everyone:

With the exception of yesterday, I have not stamped all week!  I have been busy with orders, prepping for classes, etc.  That is a good thing, but I miss it :)  With that being said, I need to share with you projects that other members of my team have done.   I love sharing my team's projects, but I feel guilty when its not my own.  LOL  Silly huh?  In any event, the projects I am going to share with you are the Build-a-Bear dies used with the Big Shot.  Take a peek...

Scrappin Saturday

Hello Weekend :) 

Hope you all are enjoying the weekend so far.  Little rainy today-OK a lot rainy!!  Oh well, still a day off with the family. 

Today's scrapbook layout was created using My Digital Studio.  I am attending a scrapbook weekend in Nov. to work on my PERSONAL album.  A friend and I do this every fall and it is a lot of fun.  She and I have been meeting every Thursday to prep for this big weekend.  I was with her Thursday night and I realized I have about 75 layouts to do!!!!  This is from May-now.  LOL.  Though most of my pages will be done with traditional scrapbooking, I did want to do a few with MDS.  Here is one I worked on Thursday night into the wee hours of the morning :)

I used the stamp sets Enjoy Every Moment, Razzle Dazzle, and Cheep Talk.  I then used some brads and some stitching.  Love this program!

 

3-D Friday

Hi everyone:

Welcome to 3-D Friday.  Today's project is an adorable treat box I made using a tutorial by Gretchen Barron.  Gretchen is an extremely talented  demonstrator.  She came up with a handful of Halloween characters made with the Big Shot and punches.  I made this little treat box for a friend of mine.  Traci is fighting stage 3 ovarian cancer and seems to live at Dana Farber these days.  In any event, she is always looking to do for others, despite her own personal issues.  She wanted to give her doctor and nurse a little something. Take a look.

Adorable right? I hope they like them :)

 

Fall Fest -part 2

As promised, here are two more projects from FallFest.  This next project is a cute treat holder and each attendee made 4 of these boxes and it included the candy corn.  Take a peek.

 
  This box was made using the Big Shot and various other punches.  Simple, yet very cute.

This next project was by far my favorite.  It is an explosion box and when you open it there is this BEAUTIFUL glass ornament.

 The pictures do not do this project justice.  It was stunning!  I am making quite a few of these and giving them as x-mas gifts.  Love them.
