3-D Friday- Updated!

Happy Halloween!!!  I hope you all have a spooktacular day :)  I am posting a 3-D project today, it will just be posted a little later than usual. So come back later today to see what cute Halloween treat I will have for you.

Hi again:

Ok so here is the project of the day.  These cute Halloween treat baskets are what I am giving my children today.  I made them using the Baskets & Bloom die, the Big Shot and Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper.  I filled them with M&Ms and tied it with Pumpkin Pie Ribbon.  These make great treat holders, favors, centerpieces, etc.  Stay tuned as the holidays come up, I will make making different versions of these baskets.

Now just because Halloween will be over in 12 hours, doesn't mean we have to stop making Halloween projects.  Tonight as you are out trick or treating, make sure to take some great photos!  Then you can use your Halloween stamps and paper to make some great scrapbook pages, decorate frames, etc.  Need some ideas?  Drop me a note.  I would love to help you out.

Tutorial Thursday

Hi everyone! Today's tutorial was taken straight from Splitcoast stampers. It was written by a fellow demonstrator by the name of  Beth Silaika.  Enjoy!

Altered R.S.V.P. Pen

• RSVP pen or any other refillable pen
• Cardstock
• Ink
• Stamp

1.  Step 1

Unscrew RSVP Pen and remove insides from the clear exterior.

  

  Step 2

Trim cardstock scrap to 3 1/2" x 7/8".

 

Step 3

Stamp cardstock.

 

  Step 4

Place ink tube back into bottom of pen and screw back into place.

  

 Step 5

Finished Pen

 

Variations

Use Designer Paper instead of cardstock. It's easier to roll up.

 

Whatever Wednesday

Half through the week.  Hooray!  Hope you are surviving.  Each week, things get  just a tad bit busier in our household so I am sure in another month, all chaos will be breaking loose with the holidays.  I am trying to keep this in mind as I schedule my classes for the next couple of months.  With all that needs to be done, I am sure trying to fit in me time is hard to come by. 

As most of you know, for the last few months I have been offering some of my classes by mail and offering monthly card kits.  Quite a few people have been taking advantage of this and it has been working out great.  I was wondering if any of you had some suggestions for other types of mail order classes that you would like to see.  I am always trying to come up with new classes, not only for those who attend the events at my home, but also for those customers of mine, who live too far away.  Drop me line and let me know your thoughts.  Everyone who submits a comment or idea will be entered into a drawing for a prize.

10 Minute Tuesday

Welcome to 10 Minute Tuesday.  Today’s project is a little treat bag that you can do under 10 mins and give out to all your little trick or treaters. 

 

Supplies:

Stamp Set- Tasty and Sweet

Inks- Pumpkin Pie

Paper- Whisper White

Tools- Big Shot and Top Note Die, small cello bags

Run the Whisper White paper through the Big Shot using the top note die.  Using Pumpkin Pie ink, stamp the sentiment on the bottom of the die.  Fold it in half.  Fill the cello bag with some treats, staple the top note to the bag and you are done!  Simple, but very cute.

Misc. Monday

Hi everyone!

Did you all enjoy your weekend?  I hope so.  For today's Misc. Scraplift Sunday

Today isScraplift Sunday.  The card I chose to CASE is from the I Wish Simply Scrappin Kit. Take a look.

 

Again, except for the ribbon, everything came with this kit.  Easy as pie.

Scrappin Saturday

Happy Saturday!  Today's layout was one I made using the I Wish Simply Scrappin Kit.  I had bought this kit to make a mini album for my Scrapbook in a Night class.  I only ended up needing half of the kit for that project.  I had all this stuff left over stuff, so I started to play around.  This layout is actually one featured as one of the samples in the kit. 

 

The only item not from the kit is the chipboard snowflake.  Everything else is included.  These kits are a great value.  Stay tuned for tomorrow when I show you a card I made from this same kit.

3-D Fridays

Welcome to another 3-D Friday.  I was going to post the Scallop Envelope Box I made, but still haven't charged that battery :)  So I thought I would share with you a pillow box I made for Thanksgiving.  I made it out of template plastic.  It is one of the 50 approved materials that the Big Shot will cut through.  Template plastic can be found at any fabric store.

The turkey was made with punches.  I used the scallop punch, different size circle punches and one of the square punches.  Isn't he cute? I filled the box with hersey kisses.  E-mail me for further instructions.

Holiday Ideas-Tags and Packaging

Hi everyone:

Yes I know it is Thursday and I typically do a tutorial.  However,  my camera battery died, so I was unable to take pics of the project.  Since it is a 3-D project, I will post the tutorial on Friday. 

I also wanted to share with you some holiday ideas.  Each week I will post great ideas for you to use throughout the holidays.  Starting Nov. 1st  I will begin posting projects I have made incorporating these ideas.  This week I would like to share with you...

 

 Do you remember looking under the Christmas tree during the holidays and seeing that one special package that you hoped was just for you? The one with the perfect wrapping paper, the bow tied just right, and the extra special tag? With so many perfect products for creating that beautifully-packaged gift, you won't need to go anywhere else to wrap up your holidays this year!

Packaging:

• Use wheels to create your own wrapping paper.  With several wheels (i.e., Christmas Chatter, Bold Snowflakes, Santa's Lineup, Snow, and So Swirly) and multiple colors to choose from, Stampin' Around wheels are the perfect way to create personalized wrapping paper.
• Tie the perfect bow on each package using our beautiful ribbon. 

Tags: When creating tags, be sure to use punches (i.e., Tag, Small Tag, Scallop Circle, Scallop Square, and Curly Label punches) Many of our punches coordinate with tags in your favorite stamp sets.  If time is an issue, check out the Season to Share Accents & Elements tin offered in Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, and Kraft instead of stamping and punching your tags.  This is a great way to include creative tags on packages without spending a lot of time.  Another option is to choose a favorite holiday stamp set and then stamp on our metal edge tags for a classic and simple look. The Sizzix Top Note Bigz die, one of Stampin' Up!'s exclusive dies, easily creates both bag toppers and tags that will really wow.  Other ideas Beautiful holiday Designer Series paper, such as Holiday Treasures, makes great wrapping paper for smaller gifts. The Simply Sent Handmade Holiday Card Elements kit and I Wish Simply Scrappin' kit include self-adhesive die cuts that are an easy way to add that extra touch to packages and tags. For extra special packages, create tags using Hodgepodge Hardware and the Crop-A-Dile that will really step up the style.
